Brian Eustace 9th Dan Taiho Jutsu visits Coventry

Brian Eustace one of the worlds leading authorities on Aikido and Taiho Jutsu, visit’s the Coventry School of Tomiki Aiki Kai Taiho Jutsu.

Sensei Cowley was delighted and honoured to host one of the leading authorities of Taiho Jutsu to his Dojo to close the last session of the year 2009.

Brian Eustace showed the students the essence and important of basic self defence with the use of the system he has developed over the past 40 years in the United Kingdom. Although Taiho is not his own invention he has developed and taught this style throughout the UK and Ireland with great success, and I am privileged and proud to open one of the few true civilian Taiho clubs in the country that are not behind closed doors of the police system.

Shortly after the warm up Sensei took over the class with the help of his uke Martin Reynolds 5th Dan, demonstrating all ranges of techniques from basic cross cover and movement to dramatic release’s from a range of attacks. This dynamic martial art was shown with a whole new light with the students watching in ore with the simplicity and graceful movements shown by Sensei and Uke.

We would like to thank Sensei and Mr Reynolds for their time and look forward to seeing them at the next British Taiho Jutsu seminar on February 28th at the home of the longest running martial art club in Stratford Upon Avon.
